Sign up for Shopify
It’s the time to organise your Shopify account and online store. Shopify offers a 14 day free trial of their services, so there isn’t any payment required immediately.
Set up your Shopify Account
Now that you’ve created a Shopify store, you’ll need to finalise the admin side of the account. Log in to the account you just created and navigate to Settings in the bottom left corner. Work your way down the left-hand menu of the Settings, particularly focusing on the following:
Store Details:
Review/update your business information, including Company Name, Type, Industry, Address, Phone, Email and Currency.
Plan + Billing:
Once your free trial ends, you will need to select a plan to continue with. We recommend the Basic Shopify Plan. Be sure to add a default credit card for recurring payments can be billed to.
User Access:
Grant us access as a partner collaborator of your store. Under settings, go to Domains and make note of your shopify URL (storename.myshopify.com). Head to Users & Permissions and jot down your 4-digit collabortor code. Email both the URL and code to us so we can request access for you to approve (you can revoke this after the job is finished).
Payments:
Complete the set up for Shopify Payments – this is where you will nominate a bank account for all orders to be paid in to.
You can also link your additional payment methods here, like PayPal or Afterpay. Simply select Add Payment Method, search for the app you want to add, and follow the prompts.
Taxes & Duties:
If you are registered to do so, add your ABN to collect GST on your sales.
