BRANDING FAQ

THIS ALL SEEMS VERY EXPENSIVE…

Remember that old saying ‘you’ve got to spend money to make money’? You’re making an investment into your business and trust me, it’s worth every cent. Anyone can pull together some colours and fonts, but an experienced designer considers your audience and spends time working out how you can best connect with them. This kind of experience is invaluable and well worth the extra $$$.

I’M NOT LOVING MY LOGO + BRAND BUT I’VE ALREADY GOT IT ON EVERYTHING…

Rebranding is a process – and a scary one at that! In an ideal world, you’d have unlimited money and re-design and re-print everything straight up, but we know that budgets/time/practicality just sometimes don’t allow. If you know you need to re-brand and this is what’s stopping you; don’t stress start small. Start with the digital stuff and do everything else gradually. We are happy to offer advice around the best process for your business, without breaking the bank.

I NEED SOMETHING THAT’S NOT ON YOUR PRICELIST…

MONEY… WHAT’S THE PROCESS?

A 50% deposit is required up front to get your project started. From there, depending on the size of your job, we’ll either invoice the remainder once the project has been completed (before your files are handed over or sent to print) or in instalments over the life of the project.

OKAY, GOT IT! WHAT’S NEXT?

Once we’ve discussed your project and you’re happy with the quote, we’ll send over the deposit invoice and some boring (but important) contracts to read over. You’ll fill out a questionnaire and once your deposit has been paid, we spend some time getting to know the ins and outs of your business and learning a bit about you!

We get started on your project designs and you’ll get the opportunity to provide feedback via email. Once your concepts have been refined, approved and paid for, we’ll send over your final files in the required formats.

HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT TO WAIT FOR MY DESIGNS?

Each project is different and therefore, require different time frames. We’ll give you a rough idea when we get started, but if you have a deadline in mind, please let me know as early as possible so we can let you know if it’s achievable.

SO, WHAT’S THE PROCESS…

In short; you contact us, we chat about your site needs, send you a quote and once you’re happy with that, we send you a website brief + planner. It might look daunting but we promise everything it asks, serves a purpose. We want to deliver the best site we possibly can, and in order to do that we need you to do some groundwork too!

HOW LONG ARE WE LOOKING AT?

Each project is different and therefore, require different time frames. We’ll give you a rough idea when we get started, but if you have a deadline in mind, please let me know as early as possible so we can let you know if it’s achievable. We like to think from initial discussions to handover, you’d be looking at 4-6 weeks.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS?

Yes. Hosting, domain & email hosting (optional) are all additional costs that you will need to have ready for us to start your project. This also goes for the cost of e-commerce/learning plugins that may be required for your site along the way.

I DON’T HAVE A DOMAIN, OR HOSTING YET; I WANT A PERSONALISED EMAIL TOO, PLEASE. CAN YOU HELP WITH THAT?

We’re really good at a lot of things, but these three are not our strong point. We love working with the team at The Computer Workshop who are wizards with Office365 for email and offer hosting and domain packages. Otherwise, we’d suggest you check out the following domain registrars/hosting providers:

+ godaddy.com

Hosting plans can vary, so feel free to talk with us prior on what your sites requirements will need. Please keep in mind that we won’t be able to help with troubleshooting in relation to setup/errors at any time of the build (it’s just not something we’re good at and don’t pretend to be!). So for the best outcome, we recommend getting in touch with Chris and the team – or we can do it on your behalf.
